The Brookville Bees picked up a big Seminole District win with a strong 36-21 victory over Amherst last Friday night at Stinger Stadium. The Bees started off hot and fast with rushing touchdowns from running backs Tayshaun Butler (31 carr. 222 yards rushing) and Michael Viar for an early 12-0 lead. The Brookville defense came up big later in the half as Steven Pauley returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown to give the Bees a 19-7 halftime cushion.

Brookville put the game away in the third quarter when quarterback Drake McDaniel (91 yards passing, 55 rushing) scored on a 4-yard TD scamper. He also added a TD pass after the break. The Bees piled up 408 yards of total offense en route to the victory over the Lancers. Brookville (5-2, 3-2 Seminole) will clash with Glass (7-1, 4-0) at City Stadium in Lynchburg on Friday night at 7 p.m.
