The Brookville Bees varsity football team picked up a much needed Seminole District win with an easy 38-0 shutout victory over Liberty last Friday night in Bedford. The Bees bounced back after two straight losses in district play by setting the tone early.
Brookville quarterback Drake McDaniel made his presence felt on special teams, blocking a Liberty punt which teammate Micah Pennix snagged out of the air and returned 35 yards for an early 7-0 lead.
The Bees dominated Liberty the rest of the game. They were led by running backs Tayshaun Butler and Silas Rucker, who put up 21 points in the opening frame enroute to a commanding 31-0 halftime lead.
