Ms. Geraldine English Coles, 74 of 1214 Thomas Avenue, NW, Roanoke, Virginia departed this life on Sunday morning, October 11, 2020, at Carrington Place, Daleville, Virginia.
Born November 16, 1945, in Tazewell County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Jimmy L. English and Lillian M. Baker English. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Deloss Baker, James Baker and Jimmy English, Jr.
Ms. Coles was last employed as a traveling nurse and was a member of the Temple of the Way Out, Roanoke, Virginia.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Terrance Coles of Gretna, Virginia and LaTonya Woodruff (Richard) of Roanoke, Virginia; the father of her children, Buford Coles of Gretna, Virginia; two sisters, Cherise E. Anderson of Pittsville, Virginia and Evangelist Rose Ervin of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; one grandson, Christian Woodruff of Roanoke, Virginia; her special friend, Gimiro Villalobos of Roanoke, Virginia; eleven sisters-in-law; nine brothers-in-law and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Coles will be conducted on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Nurumbi Hash, eulogist. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Miller Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. with the family being present from 6-7 p.m.
