Forest Neal Lambert, 78, of 874 Lambs Church Road, Altavista died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was born March 6, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, a son of the late Albert Kent Lambert and Mary Virginia Robertson Lambert. He was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church and a retired employee of PC Designs. Forest enjoyed hunting, fishing, picking greens and delivering them.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Lambert and Audrey King; one son, Richard Lambert all of Altavista; loved like a daughter, Danielle Mitchell of North Carolina; two sisters, Ann Marie Morrison of Colonial Heights and Sally Wilson of Altavista; one brother, Carlton Lambert of Murfreesboro, TN; ten grandchildren, Ashley Lambert, Daniel Neal, Christopher “Cody” Rosser, Geoffery Bryant, Megan Bryant, Summer Dearing, Forest Kent Lambert, Richard Lambert, II, Rebecca Clay, Andy “Ace” Lambert; fourteen great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Lambert; a sister, Linda Orrell; and three brothers, Harry, Ellis and Fred Lambert.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Gladys by the Rev. Michael Turner with interment to follow in Perrows Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
Forest will be available for viewing from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday at Finch & Finch, Inc. Funeral & Cremation Service, Altavista.
