Donnie Ray “Flash” Barbour, 65, of 3833 Dearborn Road, Evington died Friday, November 19, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Peggy Little Barbour for forty-five years.
He was born March 10, 1956, in Lynchburg, a son of Lucille Roberts Barbour of Lynch Station and the late Raleigh David Barbour. He was a member of Hurt United Methodist Church, the Altavista Moose Club; a retired employee of BWXT and for many years a self-employed electrician. Donnie enjoyed Bluegrass music and traveling, but his true love was the outdoors and nature. He was an avid fisherman and camper and especially loved to go paddlin’.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, William David “Buddy” Barbour and his friend, Michelle of Lynch Station; and a half-sister, Linda Canode of Martinsville. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Monday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.
