A local family-owned gas station with notoriously affordable prices is about to take the next step in expanding their business. GB Altavista is opening a new store in a different location, but still plans to keep the same business model.
“We choose Gretna, Virginia, because it will give us another nearby local store so we can serve more guests at two locations in this area with the same low prices,” stated Andy Gill, the owner of GB gas station.
The business plans on adding new features such as a larger variety of merchandise with a vending machine and cigarettes at a low price.
The company is expanding, but they still love the community they started in. Gill demonstrated that local commitment by saying, “We love being involved in the local community, and we will continue to give back as much we can in our local community.”
Central to GB’s success is its low gas prices, which it will keep going with its new store.
Gill explained, “We want our customers to trust that they never have to shop for gas prices. They know when they pull up to a GB station the price is always the best!”
While the AAA average gas price for Virginia is about $3.94 at press time, GB is charging $3.13 for regular gas.
Gill said GB and its team is putting their best foot forward with their new venture.
“It's fun opening new stores so we can save our guests at the pump,” explains Gill. GB is also pioneering in Gretna by opening the town’s first 24/7 gas station.
GB has also announced that it will be opening a Bedford location in the near future at 1531 Longwood Avenue, following a renovation of the exterior.
