The 100-mile yard sale has come again, as vendors from Danville to Amherst prepare to begin selling their wares up and down US Highway 29 starting this Thursday.
Vendors have been active on Facebook, sharing information about their plans for the event and swapping ideas about the best set-up for good sales. After starting this Thursday, the yard sale is scheduled to continue until Sunday.
Last year’s 100-mile yard sale event in October drew huge crowds, blocking major roads at times and demanding a police presence in some areas to keep traffic moving.
The event typically draws thousands of patrons from surrounding counties and states. Vendors will be selling handicrafts, vintage goods or antiques, baked goods, home goods and countless other items this weekend.
