RUSTBURG, VA - During a recent investigation of multiple individuals in the Timberlake area, the Central Virginia Drug and Gang Task Force (CVDGTF), which is comprised of narcotics investigators with the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office, Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, as well as the Campbell County K-9 Unit, arrested 58 year old, Paula Jean McMillan of Forest, Virginia, who was found to have traveled out of area to purchase large quantities of methamphetamine before transporting it back to Campbell County.
On May 11, these investigative efforts culminated with the execution of multiple narcotic-related search warrants within Campbell County.
The aforementioned search warrants resulted in the seizure of nearly $30,000 in methamphetamine and McMillan was charged with two (2) felonies; possession with the intent to distribute over 100 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
At the time of the investigation, Ms. McMillan was out on bond for distribution of a schedule I/II drug in Lynchburg and Campbell County Circuit Courts.
