CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Altavista High School’s boys basketball team notched a 56-54 win on the road against Randolph Henry last week, thanks to a buzzer-beating 3 pointer by guard Bailey Stinnette. The Colonels would trail by 9 points heading into the fourth quarter, but rallied to outscore the Statesmen 21-10 down the stretch, led by freshman forward Stuart Hunt, who poured in a game-high 28 points including four from beyond the arc in the victory.

A busy week is upcoming for the Colonels, as they have a road contest against Dan River, followed by home games with Brookville on Wednesday night and Chatham on Friday night. All games tip off at 7 p.m.
