Thursday night, June 6, was the final scheduled game between the two Motley Dixie youth teams, Fellers and First National. It ended pre-maturely when heavy rains forced the boys to leave the field. Fellers finished out their season with 3 wins, 6 losses and a tie whereas First National finished their season with 2 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tie.
Hastin Brooks commented about First National’s season, “We lost Andrew Stone and Christian Farmer early in the season to injuries. Nate Andrews stepped up from coach-pitch and helped us out tremendously when we needed it. Cooper Brooks lead the scoring with a triple and two homeruns, one of which was a 3-run homer!”
