“You must do what you have never done in order to get what you never have had;” that was the was message to the Lady Hawks from 3-time and current state champion football coach Brad Bradley. The veteran coach led the Heritage Pioneers to the 2018 Class 3 VHSL state title and served as guest speaker at the Gretna LadyHawks basketball awards ceremony.
“I have followed Coach Bradley’s work for a number of years and have a great amount of respect for him as a football coach and person. I consider him to be one of the preeminent football coaches in the area,” commented Coach Herb Daniel. Coach Bradley has been a head coach for 21 years, coached in five state championships, winning three, compiling a record of 192-69. “I felt who better to speak to our players regarding taking the next step?” observed Daniel.
Bradley spoke of his model for his players which included strict classroom objectives, mandatory community service, and many hours of off-seasons conditioning, to name just a few. He has sent many young men on to play at the next levels. “I think all the players and parents were very excited to hear Coach Bradley speak and got a lot out of it,” added Daniel.
