Student cyber team tests skills, finishes 3rd at regionals

Liberty University’s Cyber Defense Club demonstrated their skills against some of the top professional penetration testers in the field during the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition last week at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD. Liberty qualified for the MACCDC by posting a stellar performance in a virtual preliminary round earlier this semester.

Over a two-day period at MACCDC, teams protected a network of systems against a team of industry professionals who perform penetration tests to reveal weaknesses in company systems.
