James Timothy David, 53, of 223 Ridge Street, Hurt died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his home.
He was born July 8, 1965 in Lynchburg, a son of the late James Elbert David and Betty Ann Kurtz David. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and a past employee of Burlington Industries, The Lane Company and Southern Air.
He is survived by two sisters, Susie David Lucado and her husband, Mike and Deborah David Annas and her husband, Richard all of Altavista; two step-sons, Jonathan Pingilley and his wife, Meghan and Jesse Pingilley; one step-daughter, Brittany Pingilley; his former wife, Marisol Marcano; two step-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and seven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Joshua Pingilley.
A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by Pastor Jonathan Falwell with interment following in Green Lawn Cemetery.
The family received friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m., Sunday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the home of Susie and Mike Lucado, 1001 Broad Street, Altavista.
