James Eddie Reynolds, 62, of 7132 Dews Road, Hurt died Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his home. He was the husband of Rhonda Worsham Reynolds.
He was born March 20, 1957, in Lynchburg, a son of James Kent Reynolds and Patsy McElroy Reynolds of Hurt. He was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church and was a truck driver, which he loved doing for 44 years, most recently with Marvin Windows & Doors. Eddie enjoyed camping, mud bogs, working on cars and trucks, and mowing grass with Rhonda.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother, Teddie Reynolds (Cindy) of Hurt; two aunts, Faye Robertson (Leon) of Hurt and Edna Marr (Billy) of Cheraw, SC; cousins, Curtis Robertson (Amanda) and Christopher, Laci, and Joshua, Earl Robertson and Friend Melinda Bennett of Hurt and Chloe Robertson all of Hurt; and step-children, Shannon King (W.J.) of Huddleston, Charity Garrett of Hurt, Dustin Mattox of Altavista and Jason Harrison of Hurt.
A funeral service was conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2019, at New Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Steve Morris with interment following in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 7132 Dews Road, Hurt.
