David Lee Robertson has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of filming a non-consented nude person after a hidden camera was found at the marina at Smith Mountain Lake.
An employee at Lumpkins Marina discovered the camera in one of the women’s bathroom stalls. She said it was small and looked like a little blue box.
Police were called after the employee told the manager.
The camera was traced back to Robertson says the police. It is unknown how long the camera was there.
Robertson was arrested at home on July 26 in Penhook. He bonded out on July 30. He is expected to be in court on October 22.
If convicted, each misdemeanor offense carries a sentence of up to 12 months in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.
The investigation is ongoing.
