Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old Michael Randolph Vaughan after shooting someone early Sunday morning in Gretna. Police were called to the 8000 block of West Gretna Road around 1:30 a.m. for someone being shot.
The victim was found laying on the side of the road with an apparent gunshot wound says the police.
Vaughan was arrested at the scene and charge with felonious assault. He was taken to the Pittsylvania County Jail where he is being held without bond. The victim was taken by helicopter to Roanoke where he is listed in stable condition.
Vaughan could face a $100,000 fine and from five to 20 years in jail if convicted.
