Employees of The Waffle House on Wards told Lynchburg Police Department, two black male suspects entered the business and demanded money. One of the suspects had a gun. They left on foot with cash taken from the business.
The first suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, camouflage mask, black pants and gray shoes. The other suspect was wearing a black Nike hoodie with a white swoosh logo on the front, black mask, black pants and gray shoes.
Other occurrences happened during the early hours. The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was called for an attempted breaking and entering at the Lynchburg Arms and Shooting Range around 12:57 a.m. The perpetrators tried breaking a window, but were unsuccessful.
At 1:18 a.m. police responded to reports of the Timberlake Road Waffle House being robbed and at 1:30 a.m. The Waffle House on 221 in Bedford was hit, with the Wards Road robbery happening at 1:50 a.m.
Investigators reported no injuries in the incidents and did not know exactly how much money was taken. They have not confirmed if these are the same people, but they are working together to find the perpetrators. The Lynchburg Police are working with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Bedford County Sheriff’s Office for the incidents.
