Campbell County Supervisor Bob Good announces campaign launch for Congressional Representative to the Fifth District of Virginia
Supervisor Bob Good will formally announce his candidacy for the Fifth District Congressional seat on Thursday, November 14, at 10609 Richmond Highway, Lynchburg at 5:00 p.m. Good currently serves as the Sunburst District representative on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors. During his tenure on the Board, Good was consistently recognized for supporting business growth and holding the line on taxes while helping grow local revenue.
In deciding to enter the race, Good said "I am proud of the work I have done on the Campbell County Board and I intend to apply the same principles of financial stewardship and respect for hard working taxpayers. President Trump’s policies have delivered a growing, vibrant economy and we must ensure that our representatives back his agenda."
Good is currently Senior Associate Athletics Director and Executive Director of the Flames Club at Liberty University. Under Good’s leadership, the athletics department at the University has realized significant growth in its annual giving and donor commitment. He was previously employed by CitiFinancial and served in a leadership role as district manager in Roanoke prior to joining Liberty.
As the campaign kicks off, Mr. Good is pleased to have received the endorsement of Former Congressman Virgil Goode. "Bob is a principled individual who we can all support. Bob graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and earned his Master of Business Administration, also from Liberty. Bob has been married for 31 years to his wife, Tracey, and they are the parents of three children, Patrick, Sydney and Conner. He is a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
