Board of elections grants filing extensions

Bob Good, other candidates filing during grace period clear

The Virginia State Board of Elections today granted a filing extension to all candidates seeking office in the General Election on November 3rd. The Bob Good campaign had filed the necessary paperwork in the time covered under the extension which is routinely granted by the Board.

Campbell County’s Good stated, "I am thankful to the Board of Elections for their decision to follow precedent and appropriately exercise the authority given to them by the General Assembly to grant a blanket extension on a nonpartisan basis for all candidates who filed within the 10-day grace period provided in the state code. I look forward to keeping this seat in Republican hands by giving voters a clear choice between a conservative patriot and my far left opponent."

Bob Good is the Republican nominee for the 5th District Congressional seat, having won the district convention on June 13 in Lynchburg with 58% of the delegate vote over incumbent Denver Riggleman.
