A man police say robbed a local bank Monday, Oct. 28 around 12:15 p.m., is being sought by the Pittsylvania County police. The robbery occurred at Virginia Bank and Trust on Martinsville Highway when the man demanded money from the teller.

The suspect is a white male about 5’7” with a medium build. He was wearing camouflage pants, a blue hoodie, sneakers, blue latex gloves, and a red bandana covering his mouth. Witnesses say he did not pull a gun.

He fled on foot with the money. A person of interest was seen in the area of the bank walking east on Martinsville Highway says an investigator.
