Altavista Town Council heard ideas  about economic development for Altavista such as revitalization of its parks, discussion on the recent acquisition of the 50-acre business park. A proposal for a possible innovative center and co-working space to put the old fire station building into use instead of sitting empty beside the town hall.

No official decision was made at the meeting, but the item will appear on the December 10 consent agenda, meaning the board could approve it without a public hearing. It would become a project for consideration in the town’s fiscal year 2021 capital improvement plan if approved and would have public comment associated with it.
